Barbershop 3 is currently being filmed in Atlanta. And now, we have the first behind-the-scenes look at production. Come inside to check it out…

Who’s ready to laugh it up at some “barbershop talk” in Calvin’s? We sure are.

Barbershop 3 is currently being filmed in Atlanta with some of the original cast and some new faces. So, Ice Cube put together a quick behind-the-scenes look to show fans how production is coming along. And from what we see in the clip, it appears to be the makings of another blockbuster comedy film, following the first two flicks in the franchise.

In the clip, Ice Cube (who’s reprising his role as Calvin) takes us inside Calvin’s Barbershop set in a make believe Chi-town. We see Nicki Minaj doing a sew-in as she will star as the new hairdresser Draya. Eve Cooper will reprise her role as the only female barber Terri, “black•ish” star Anthony Anderson will reprise his role as the ATM thief JD and Cedric the Entertainer will reprise his role as the OG barber Eddie.

With This Ring star Regina Hall will join the cast as Angie, the woman in charge of the beauty shop portion of the barbershop, according to Variety. The rest of the cast includes Oscar winner Common, Tyga, Jazsmin Lewis, Sean Patrick Thomas. Chyna Layne, Michael Rainey Jr., Deon Cole, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Lamorne Morris, J.B. Smoove, Margot Bingham and Isaiah John.

The comedy is being directed by Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man) from a script by Kenya Barris ( “black•ish”) and Tracy Oliver (Survivor’s Remorse). Cube Vision is producing the project through MGM with Bob Teitel and George Tillman Jr (of State Street Pictures) as lead producers.

The first two films grossed a total of $140 million worldwide. The 2002 film cost $12 million and grossed $75 million, while the 2004 sequel cost $30 million and grossed $65 million. Nice!
