The Detroit Lions jumped out to an early lead and came away with a 20-10 win over the Chicago Bears on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions scored the game’s first 13 points and added a touchdown early in the second half. The Bears cut their deficit to 10 on a Mitchell Trubisky touchdown pass but he threw an interception with 34 seconds to play as the Lions secured the win.

Detroit moved to 8-6 on the year with the victory, while Chicago fell to 4-10.

Matthew Stafford threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns to lead Detroit, while Marvin Jones Jr. registered 85 receiving yards.

Trubisky tallied 314 passing yards and the touchdown but also threw three interceptions. Jordan Howard was held to just 37 rushing yards on 10 carries.

Final score: Lions 20, Bears 10

7:33 p.m.: Trubisky throws his third interception of the game and the Lions hang on for a 20-10 win.

7:23 p.m.: The Lions go three-and-out and punt it back to the Bears. They’ll take over at their 6 with 2:07 to play. 

7:17 p.m.: Touchdown Bears. Chicago moves the chains on a fourth down after a penalty by Detroit and Trubisky follows with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Benny Cunningham. The Bears trail 20-10 with 2:32 to play.

7:11 p.m.: Trubisky completes a 17-yard pass to Daniel Brown on a third-and-10 to keep the Bears drive alive. They currently have it at the Detroit 22 with 3:35 to play.

6:56 p.m.: Stafford is sacked on back-to-back plays and the Lions are forced to punt. The Bears will start their drive at their 7.

6:53 p.m.: Lions running back Theo Riddick has left the game and is questionable to return with a wrist injury.

6:48 p.m.: Turnover Bears. Chicago strings together another long drive that results in no points. A Trubisky pass is picked off in the end zone by Quandre Diggs and the Lions will take over on their 20. Trubisky has thrown two interceptions in the game.

End of third quarter: Lions 20, Bears 3

6:44 p.m.: The Bears move into the red zone on a 16-yard run by Jordan Howard and they’ll have it at the Detroit 8 to start the fourth quarter.

6:34 p.m.: Stafford is sacked for a 9-yard loss and the Lions go three-and-out. Chicago will start its drive at its 36.

6:29 p.m.: The Bears move the chains once but Trubisky throws an incomplete pass on third down and they punt. Trubisky has just 93 passing yards so far. 

6:19 p.m.: Touchdown Lions. Detroit converts the Bears turnover into a score when Stafford finds Eric Ebron in the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown. The Lions now lead 20-3 with 9:48 to play in the third quarter.

6:12 p.m.: Turnover Bears. Trubisky rolls to his left and overthrows Kendall Wright on the second play of the half. Darius Slay picks off the pass and the Lions take over on the Chicago 41.

6:10 p.m.: We’re back for the second half in Detroit. The Bears will start the period’s opening drive at their 20.

Halftime: Lions 13, Bears 3

5:56 p.m.: Field goal Bears. Trubisky throws an incomplete pass before Mike Nugent enters and kicks a 41-yard field goal, cutting the Bears deficit to 13-3 at halftime. 

5:53 p.m.: Turnover Lions. Theo Riddick takes a handoff on third-and-15 and runs near the first down marker. But, before going down, the ball is knocked loose by Sam Acho and the Bears recover. Chicago gets the ball back with 12 seconds left in the half and a chance to score.

5:47 p.m.: The Bears finally string together a long drive but it results in no points. Chicago advances into Lions territory on a 9-yard pass from Trubisky to Dion Sims. But Trubisky follows with an incomplete pass on third down and the Bears punt with 57 seconds left in the half.

5:30 p.m.: Touchdown Lions. Stafford rolls to his right and hits TJ Jones for a 3-yard touchdown. Detroit now leads 13-0 with 6:10 to play in the half.

5:24 p.m.: Stafford escapes the pocket, rolls right and throws a deep ball downfield to Marvin Jones Jr., moving the Lions to the Chicago 12.

5:16 p.m.: The Bears move the chains once but fail to pick up another first down and they punt. Chicago has just 33 yards of total offense so far. 

5:03 p.m.: Field goal Lions. Detroit moves into the red zone on an 11-yard pass from Stafford to Ameer Abdullah. But, the Lions fail to punch it in and Matt Prater kicks a 31-yard field goal to increase Detroit’s lead to 6-0.

End of first quarter: Lions 3, Bears 0

4:55 p.m.: The Bears register two short runs and the Lions follow with a sack of Trubisky. Chicago punts and Detroit will take over on its 26.

4:50 p.m.: Detroit is called for a holding penalty and Stafford is sacked one play later as the Lions are forced to punt.

4:43 p.m.: The Bears pick up one first down but fail to move the chains again as Kendall Wright fails to hold on to a pass from Mitchell Trubisky. Chicago punts and Detroit will take over on its 37.

4:37 p.m.: Field goal Lions. Detroit advances to the Chicago 30, but its drive stalls when a Matthew Stafford pass on third down is deflected at the line of scrimmage. Matt Prater enters and kicks a 48-yard field goal to give the Lions a 3-0 lead.

4:30 p.m.: We’re underway in Detroit. The Lions receive the opening kickoff and they’ll start their drive at their 24.

4:01 p.m.: The Bears and Lions have both announced their inactives.
