Early Sunday morning shots ranged out at the Cameo Nightclub in Cincinnati, OH injuring at least 15 people and claiming the life of one.
According to NBC News, the shooting inside of the packed nightclub happened at 1 a.m., but police say the shooting does not seem to be terrorism related.
Police believe that there was more than one shooter involved in the incident.
When it comes to the victims of the shooting, it has been reported that CPR was attempted on the victim that passed.
Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate said that many of the other victims have life-threatening injuries.
911 call logs seen by NBC show a caller telling the authorities that a male was shot in the head, but was still breathing around 1:30 a.m.
Assistant Police Chief Neudigate said, “We are in the middle of a very horrific situation that occurred at the nightclub with multiple victims. It’s going to be a long night for our homicide units to investigate.”
Many of the witnesses have fled the scene, but those who could be identified are being questioned about the incident.
At least eight victims were taken to the same hospital where one was in critical condition, three others were in serious condition and the remaining four were stable.
An investigation has been launched as this story still develops.
We send our condolences to those involved in the shooting.
