Alicia Keys and friends hosted a fundraiser in NYC last night. Get deets on the function inside and see Tia Mowry stepping out in Beverly Hills for an event…
Last night, some very high-profile celebs headed to NYC’s legendary hotel, The Plaza, for the 50th Anniversary gala of the Harlem School Of The Arts. Nestled on 141st, the HSA is committed to give all children access to music and arts programs.
Famed producer, writer and pianist Alicia Keys was presented with the “Visionary Artist Award” during the ceremony.
Alicia shared her award with her lovely mom, Terria Joseph, who was also presented with a “Visionary Artist” plaque.
Alicia and her mom were joined by Egypt who has already developed his dad’s flair for fashion.
Nick Cannon, who is always one of the best dressed men in the room, was among the presenters for the evening.
Tamara Tunie, who has been collecting those good Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit checks for over 15 years, stepped out looking like a wealthy woman of means. Work.
As we mention earlier, Nick took to the stage to present Alicia and her mom with their award.
Mom and daughter shared a very tender moment on stage.
On Instagram, Alicia spoke about the award and the honor she shared with her mom saying,
Congratulations on the visionary award we shared tonight mama!!!! Without you, there is no me… Actually and Art-fully Thank you for all the Sunday’s you played Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington on vinyl. Thank you for all the nights you worked overtime to make the ends and beginnings meet. Thank you for teaching me about womanhood and everything in between. All I can say is thank you and it will never, ever be enough!
Afterwards, Alicia posed with kids from the school whom we are sure have been inspired by her art.
In Beverly Hills…
Actress Tia Mowry stepped out looking like a vixen for the Sony Pictures Classics’ “Truth” at Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
She rocked a Neil Barrett suit, Sergio Rossi shoes, a Kotur clutch, and Paige Novick jewels.
Somebody’s here to floss.
Although Tia is currently on break from her series “Instant Mom”, we can’t wait to see what she does next.
