The Fulton Market neighborhood recently got a little tastier. On Aug. 2, honeygrow ( 179 N. Morgan Ave.; honeygrow.com ) hosted its Founder’s Dinner to celebrate and preview the new restaurant to select guests. This fast-casual spot comes all the way from the East Coast and serves made-to-order stir-fry, salads, a honeybar and cold-pressed juices.

When talking about his decision to open a Chicago location, CEO Justin Rosenberg said is was a no-brainer since “Chicago is such a great food city.” With that in mind, honeygrow also makes it its mission to “integrate with the community” by using local and organic ingredients in their food, said its culinary director, Chef David Katz. In addition to that, the restaurant’s interior design also incorporates art by local artist Julie Murphy.

Although honeygrow focuses a lot on incorporating local culture into its restaurants, the technological aspect is included as well. After sampling signature stir-fry dishes, attendees were able to try the restaurant’s touch-screen ordering kiosk and were able to customize their orders the way they saw fit, showcasing honeygrow’s efficiency when it comes to modern-day service.

honeygrow’s grand opening took place Aug. 4, and it will be open daily at 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. To learn more, visithoneygrow.com .
